Career
He was a prominent end for the Tigers of Louisiana State University from 1907 to 1909, elected to the Hall of Fame in 1937. Seip was also selected for "s All-Time football team in 1935. Seip was one of many players on teams of this era from Pennsylvania, including Doc Fenton and Mike Lally.
He was nominated though not selected for an Associated Press All-Time Southeast 1869-1919 era team
1907
Seip ran back a 67-yard punt return in "s first ever bowl game, as well as the first football game played by an American team outside of the United States, the 1907 Bacardi Bowl. beat the University of Havana 56 to 0. 1909
He was selected All-Southern in 1909.
1910
1910 was a disastrous year for the Tigers. Stovall, end, Mike Lally, halfback, and Seip would all be lost for the year.
Seip was ruled ineligible the week before the Sewanee game.
