Career

The book was used as the basis for the 1981 film Thief, starring James Caan. As Hohimer, Seybold served as the technical advisor on the film"s Chicago set, with Federal Bureau of Investigation warrants outstanding. Seybold was imprisoned at South Woods State Prison in New Jersey from May 21, 1995 to November 2, 2001.
