Honorary John Estmond Strickland, GBS, Justice of the Peace, the former Chairman of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. (1996–1998) with responsibility for Household Bank"s operations in Asia Pacific, is a Hong Kong-based businessman and philanthropist. He has honorary fellowships with the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Computer Society, the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers and the Hong Kong Management Association, as well as honorary doctorates from City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
