John Timu

Timu"s position of choice was as a centre. In union he would play at full-back or on the wing. He played representative rugby for Otago in union and the Canterbury Bulldogs and London Broncos in league.
Timu played in the centres for Canterbury in their Grand Final victory of the 1995 Winfield Cup.
Timu played club rugby for the Taieri Eels who are based at Peter Johnstone Park in the town of Mosgiel when plying his trade for Otago
He now operates a building company in the Otago town of Wanaka and was the "star" attraction at the Taieri clubs 125th jubilee celebrations in 2008.
