He migrated to Australia and became a shipwright and company director He was involved in the Shiprights Provident Union and served as president of the Eight Hour Day Committee. Travers died at Crows Nest in 1943.
Membership
From 1908 to 1934 he was a Labor member of the New South Wales Legislative Council.
