Creighton earned a Bachelor of Surgery from The Ohio State University in 1954, a Bachelor of Laws from Ohio State in 1957, and an Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami. Creighton is also a certified public accountants
These include Weyerhaeuser Company, United Air Lincolnshire, the University of Puget Sound, civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army, and the Boy Scouts of America (Bachelor of Scientific Agriculture). Creighton serves on the board of directors of Saltchuck Resources. From about 1997 to 1998, he also served as the National president of the Boy Scouts of America.
During this time he emphasized Scouting"s traditional values and the need for the growth of the movement.
