Career

Acting professor mineralogy and metallurgy. Columbia School of Mines. 1872-1873; editor Engineering and Mining Journal.

1872-1874.

On United States Geography and Geological Survey, and examined Comstock Lode. Professor mining and metallurgy, State University of Ohio. 1878-1881; became superintendent Tombstone (Arizona) Mill & Mining Company,: in service of Viceroy Li Hung Chang, opening silver mines in Mongolia and introducing American methods and machinery, 4 years, 1886-1890.

Now practicing as mining engineer Author: Notes on a Metallurgical Journey in Europe, 1875.
