Assistant United States district attorney for Montana, 1918-1919.

County attorney Yellowstone County, 1923-1929. United States district attorney for Montana since 1935.

Chairman Yellowstone County Democratic Central Committee several terms. Member Montana Democratic State Central Committee 12 years.
