Deacon, 1891, priest, 1893, Protestant Episcopal Church. Missionary Willoughby and Toledo, O., 1891-1893. Priest in charge St. Michael’s and All Angels chs., Berwyn, Illinois, 1893-1896.

Rector St. Luke’s Church, Dixon, Illinois, 1896-1902, St. John’s Church, Dubuque, Iowa, 1902-1911, St. John’s Church, Keokuk, Iowa, 1911-1918. Elected missionary bishop of Diocese of Salina (Kansas), by House of Bishops, October 19, 1917. Consecrated as bishop, January 1918.
