Admitted to Ohio bar, 1853. Practiced at Delaware. Partner Judge T. W. Powell, 1853-1860, then with H. M. Carper, 34 years.

Retired from law practice, 1903. Director 1st National Bank, Delaware, since 1883, resigned as president, November, 1911. Director Fidelity Bail Association and Loan Company.

Trustee Cemetery Association.
