Mustered out August, 1865. Bvtd. major United States.V. “for faithful and meritorious services during the campaign against the City of Mobile and its defenses.” Chief deputy collector and afterward acting collector of internal revenue at New Orleans, 1866-1867. Practicing law in New Orleans, 1867-1912.

Retired and removed to Atlantic City, New Jersey.
