Tierney and Haughwout was founded in 1990 when Carey Haughwout resigned from the Capital Division of the Public Defender" General’ s Office in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit to join her husband John Tierney"s private law practice.
The firm serves the entire state of Florida and has participated in trial proceedings in numerous federal districts throughout the country. The firm specializes in all aspects of criminal law and forfeitures and the partners actively participate in professional association activities. Both partners have lectured on criminal law and forfeitures at seminars and actively participate in the criminal justice system.
