Whealy, John Fisher was born on May 3, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. Son of William Blythe and Helen Virginia (Fisher) Whealy.

With plant management Devoe & Raynolds, Louisville, 1957—1964, Celanese Coatings Company, Louisville, 1965—1968. General manager Treasure Tones, Inc., Los Angeles, 1969—1970. Vice president Valspar Corporation, Minneapolis, since 1971.

Served to lieutenant United States Navy, 1954-1957.
