Ordained Presbyterian ministry, 1882. Pastor Mingo Church, Finleyville, Pennsylvania, 1882-1887, 6th Church, Pittsburgh, 1887-1894, Central Church, Orange, New Jersey, since 1894. Director Board of Foreign Missions Presbyterian Church, since 1898, and of the Princeton Theological Seminary, since 1899.

Stated clerk Presbytery of Morris and Orange, since 1910, and of Synod of New Jersey, since 1913.
