Ordained to ministry Episcopal Church, 1815. Founder, rector St. Paul’s Parish, Pawtucket, Rhode Island until 1820. Conducted girls school, Concord, N.H., 1820-1822, Boston, 1822-1830.

Rector St. Matthews Church, Boston, 1824-1832. Editor Gospel Advocate, Boston, 1824-1827. Wrote textbooks and religious books in New York City and New Jersey, 1832-1857.
