Formerly private secretary to Sir John Brunner, 1st Baronet., Member of Parliament, and loader-writer on the Leeds Mercury. Editor of the Speaker, 1899 -1906. Leader - writer on Tribune, 1906 - 7, and on Daily News, 1907. Secy, and Registrar Civil Service Commission since 1907.
