Admitted to Illinois bar, 1895, and practiced law. Active in Republican politics of Illinois.

Secretary Illinois State Board of Arbitration, 1897-1904. Clerk Illinois Supreme Court, 1908-1914.

Republican nominee for Congress, Illinois-at-large, 1914.
