Entered Methodist Episcopal Church, South, ministry. Pastor in Alabama at Louisville, Wetumpka, Fort Deposit, Bolling and Dothan, Pensacola, Florida, Troy, Alabama, and Opelika, Alabama. Presiding elder Montgomery District, Alabama Conference Trustee, and financial agent, since 1907, Woman’s College of Alabama.

President Mutual Aid Society and member board education, Alabama Conference. Director Preachers’ Interstate Institute, Biloxi, Mississippi Chaplain Alabama National Guard, on staff Governor B. B. Comer, with rank of colonel, 1907-1911.
