With Nier & Hartford, engrs., Chattanooga, 1890-1892, Hebert & Company, Chattanooga, 1892-1893. Engineer and superintendent, Chickamauga Coal & Iron Company, 1894-1900. In charge mines, at Joplin, Missouri, 1900-1901, Hites Cove Mining Company, Mariposa.

California, 1901-1902. Examination mines, California and Mexico, 1902-1903. Assistant superintendent Woodstock Iron Company, Anniston, Alabama, 1903-1904.
