Admitted to California bar, 1891. Instructor law department, Stanford University, 1895-1896. In 1900 filled temporary vacancies in law schools of Washington and Lee University, and Yale University.

Assistant professor of law, 1910-1911, professor, since 1911, University of Illinois.

Edited editions of his father’s legal treatises. Pomeroy’s Equity Jurisprudence (3d edition), 1905.

Pomeroy’s Code Remedies (3d edit), 1894. Pomeroy’s Specific Performance (second edition), 1897.

Also chief editor Pomeroy’s Annotated Codes of California (4 volumes), 1901.

Author: Pomeroy’s Equitable Remedies (2 volumes), 1905. Also lives of Stephen Johnson Field, and of John Norton Pomeroy in volumes 7 and 8 of Lewis’s Great American Lawyers, 1909.
