Archdeacon of Virginia, 1904-1907. Rector St. John’s Church, Hagerstown, Maryland., 1907-1913, and archdeacon of Cumberland. Elected archdeacon Diocese of Alabama and Diocese of Southern Virginia.

Elected bishop of Missionary District of N.Dak., October 1913, consecrated January 6, 1914. Home: Fargo, N.D.
