Member Colorado Senate, 1909-1913. Secretary of commission appointed by President Wilson, 1915, to investigate diplomatic relations of J. M. Sullivan, United States minister to Santo Domingo.

Private secretary to the United States Senator James Doctorate. Phelan of California, 1915-1917. United States surveyor of customs, Portuguese of San Francisco, 1917-1921.
