Goodrich, John Wallace was born on May 27, 1871 in Newton, Massachusetts, United States. Son of John B. and Anna L. (Woodward) Goodrich.

Education

Educated Newton High School, 1888. Attended Royal Academy of Music, Munich, 1894-1895. Student in Paris and Leipzig, 1895-1897.

Career

Member faculty since 1897, dean, 1907-1930, director, 1931-1942, director emeritus since 1942, New England Conservatory of Music. Organist, Trinity Church, Boston, 1902-1909. Founded, 1901, conducted, 1901-1907, Choral Art Society of Boston.

Choral conductor Worcester County Musical Association, 1902-1907. Organist at concerts of Boston Symphony Orchestra, 1897-1909. Conductor Cecilia Society of Boston, 1907-1910.
