Career

Early oil operator in South.W.Pa., West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas and Canada. A pioneer operator in Mexico, 1908-1914, drilling first oil wells on the Panuco, Tamesi and Tuxpam rivers. An incorporator Mexico Fuel Oil Corporation and Penn-Mexico Fuel Oil Corporation.

An organizer Tropical Oil Corporation (later owned by International Petroleum Limited company).

Drilled the first producing oil well in Republic of Colombia, 1917-1918. President Leonard Petroleum Company, Leonard Oil & Gas Company, Leonard Oil Development Company.

Director Stellar Refining Company, Citizens National Bank (Washington, Pennsylvania).
