Translations to 5th Field Artillery, February 1915, to 1st Field Artillery, August 1915. Major May 15, 1917; lieutenant colonel (temporary), August 5, 1917, colonel (temporary), February 7, 1918, brigadier general (temporary), October 1, 1918. Retired December 15, 1922.

Promoted brigadier general on retired list, June 21, 1930.
