Chun John Wing Hon received his early education in the Anglo-Chinese School, Shanghai and Dunstable Grammar School, Bedfordshire, England. He also attended Cambridge, Trinity College. Mr. Chun was the holder of the following degrees : Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Medicine and B.C. (Cambridge) ; Membership of The Royal College of Surgeons and Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians.
On returning to China he became a surgeon at Lester Hospital, Shanghai and later was appointed senior medical officer, Manchurian Plague Prevention Service, Harbin.
