Join Saeki was a Japanese buddhist priest of the Hosso Sect. He lectured on the Hosso Sect doctrine for over 50 years at the Ho- ryuji Temple, which is the oldest wooden structure in the world.
Join Saeki was born in Nara Prefecture, Japan in 1867.
He became a priest (1886). Was appointed an archbishop (1902) and chief priest of the Horyuji Temple (1908). Was appointed head priest of the Hosso Sect three times and nominated a member of the Imperial Academy (1929).
