I studied History, Bible, and Biblical Languages at Abilene Christian University where I received B.A., M.A., and M.Div. degrees. I also completed an M.A. degree and a Ph.D. degree at the University of Notre Dame, with a major in New Testament and Ancient Christianity and a minor in Hebrew Bible and Ancient Judaism. From 1984 to 2016, I have History, Theology, and Greek in universities, colleges, and high schools. I live in Boerne, Texas, in the Hill Country north of San Antonio. I work as a realtor with my wife, Sheri. I also am involved in research and writing about subjects that interest me.
