Jon S. Cohen and his wife, Paola Scaravelli, collaborated to write Cooking From an Italian Garden: Over 300 Classic Meatless Recipes, from Antipasti to Dessert and A Mediterranean Harvest. Both books provide vegetarian recipes drawn from the cuisines of Mediterranean countries.

In Max Lakeman and the Beautiful Stranger (1990), Max Lakeman lives with his family and their dog in a Philadelphia suburb, where he cuts lawns for a living. He loves his job, but daydreams as he works, and his dream of an affair with a beautiful woman comes true. To his dismay, her husband, a brilliant surgeon, finds out; in the end, though, it all turns out to be just a dream.

The Man in the Window is the story of "two losing loners who find each other - and love," according to a Kirkus Reviews writer. He is the co-writer of the film Minority Report, directed by Steven Spielberg. His latest novel is Harry's Trees.
