He was a pupil of his father Jonas Blewitt and his godfather Jonathan Battishill.
Career
He worked as organist at the Masonic Society of Ireland. In 1811 an organist at St. Andrew’s Church in Dublin. In 1826 worked as music director at Sadler’s Yells Theatre in London.
