2009Quotations: "My work is influenced primarily by the relationships I observe between people and themselves as well as other people. I like to write about people who are self-aware enough to be unsatisfied with aspects of their personalities, and then place them in situations that will force those foibles to the forefront, to be dealt with along with the extenuating circumstances. It provides for me, as well as the reader, a sense of catharsis and closure that real life seldom provides."
Jonathan Tropper married Elizabeth Parker on June 2, 1996. The couple has three children.
