Career
Cairnie made his debut on 29 March 2014 in the Scottish Championship in a defeat against Queen of the South, and signed a two-year full-time contract in May that year. In October 2015, Cairnie went on loan to Scottish League Two side East Stirlingshire until 6 January 2016. Cairnie attended Ardrossan Academy.
