He has produced, engineered, mixed and/or written tracks for Motion City Soundtrack, One Ok Rock, All Time Low, Quietdrive, and many others He resides in Nashville, Tennessee. He was drawn to music at an early age, picking up the guitar when he was 10 years old, and started recording local artists at the age of 16.
In 2006, Schmidt moved to College Park, Maryland, and was an assistant to Matt Squire.
After a year of working with Matt he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he recorded bands such as Motion City Soundtrack, Quietdrive, Sing lieutenant Loud, You, Maine, and Everyone We Know, Jamestown Story, Paradise Fears, Take Cover, and The Role Call. Schmidt has also co-written many songs licensed to popular television shows, such as NCIS: New Orleans, Hart of Dixie, Catfish, Jersey Shore, The Biggest Loser, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The Real World, Doctor Philosophy, Snooki & JWoww, Battle Creek, and a MasterCard commercial.
In 2015, Jordan Schmidt signed with Tree Vibez Music, a publishing company started by Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Lincolnshire.
