Career
He is currently playing with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (National Hockey League). Szwarz was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 4th round (97th overall) of the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Szwarz played for the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League from 2007–2011 and became the team’s third all-time leading scorer with 204 career OHL points.
Szwarz made his professional debut with the San Antonio Rampage in the 2009-2010 season.
His first National Hockey League goal was scored in his next National Hockey League game, on October 31 against Carter Hutton of the Nashville Predators.
