He is best known for his movie The Visit, for which he was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards. His movie Constellation was released in February 2007 and is now screened around the United States of America at conferences promoting racial healing in America. He has worked with actors Hill Harper, Billy Dee Williams, Phylicia Rashad, Lynn Redgrave, Rae Dawn Chong, Zoe Saldana, Gabrielle Union, Lesley Ann Warren, William Hurt, Harry Connick Junior, Obba Babatundé, Talia Shire, Glynn Turman, and David Clennon, among others
He is a political independent who once worked on United States Foreign Policy issues for Congressional Candidates.
He is currently preparing to film his new movie, entitled Dawana. He is the nephew of Gene Wilder.
