Jordi received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona. In 2002 he graduated from Polytechnic University of Catalonia and received Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 2006 he received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London.
From 2006 to 2009 J. Alastruey-Arimon conducted postdoctoral research at the Departments of Aeronautics and Bioengineering at Imperial College. He joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering at King's College, in 2011. From 2009 to 2013 Jordi Alastruey-Arimon was a British Heart Foundation Research Fellow. He was promoted to Lecturer at the end of 2013 and to Senior Lecturer of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at King's College in in 2017. He is a Contributor of articles to numerous professional journals.
