Career
Born in Vila do Conde, Humberto emerged through local Rio Avenue Football Club"s youth system, and made his Primeira Liga debut on 18 August 1999 in a 1–1 draw against Football Club Porto, as a late substitute. From 2001 onwards he would spend the following seven years with several teams, almost all in the second level He represented South Carolina (U.S.) Braga"s reserves, South Carolina (U.S.) Covilhã, Anno Domini Ovarense and Communicative Disorders Santa Clara, serving mostly as a backup.
Released in the ensuing summer he returned to division two, sigining with U.D. Oliveirense.
