Career
Meneses, a teacher in Colombia, emigrated to the United States in 1979. His first job in New Jersey was washing cars. He later took classes at New York University and worked in a bank and as a computer programmer and database designer.
He was elected to the local school board in 2002, and to the Hackensack City Council in 2005.
He currently resides in Hackensack.
