Career
Torres Cadena served as a Fédération internationale de football association referee for several international tournaments, including the 1989 Fédération internationale de football association World Youth Championship and the 1992 Olympic football tournament. He also worked as a referee for 1994 World Cup qualifiers. He is mostly known for supervising four matches in the 1994 in the United States.
Torres Cadena officiated the first-round match between Belgium and Morocco, the first-round match between Ireland and Norway, the quarterfinal between Germany and Bulgaria, and the semifinal between Brazil and Sweden.
