Subsequently prefect of the Alto Acre, to 1920.
Bank inspector (fiscal de bancos) in Rio de Janeiro, 1920-1922. Governor of the Territory of Acre, 19201925. A leader of the revolutionary movement of 1930.
Member of the Constituent Assembly of 1933.
