Education
He attended Marist School - Marikina. He later graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Career
He took office on June 30, 2007. Prior to his becoming mayor, Diaz was Municipal Administrator for the San Mateo Rizal Municipal Government. Prior to that, he worked as a stock broker and financial analyst.
His first job was as analyst for Visayas" and Mindanao"s Regional Offices for the Far East Bank & Trust Company from 1988 – 1999.
He was promoted to Financial Cr Analyst until 1990, where he became a trader for Urban Commercial Bank, Trust and Treasury Group for a year. After that he became a stock broker at Urban Corporation
Investments, Incorporated. from 1992 – 1993. He decided to set up the Jose F. Diaz Construction and Development Corporation, working as its Chairman and Chief Operating Officer from 1995 – 2001.
lieutenant was in 2004 when he became involved in politics, becoming Municipal Administrator for the local government for two years (June 2004 – July 2006).
