Jose Carlos Belfort Furia

Jose Carlos Belfort was born on April 7, 1939 in Sao Paulo. Son of Antonio and Zuila (Belfort Mattos) Furia.

Education

In 1963 Jose studied at Escola Politecnica University of the South Pacific in São Paulo, Brasil. He studied at the faculty of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.

Career

In 1964 Jose worked as a quality control engineer in Mecanica Pesada S.A. in Brazil, 1964. In a year he became an executive member of the engineering department in Mecanica Pesada S.A. in Taubaté-SP, Brazil. He worked there until 1969. In a year he became an adjoint chief of the engineering department in Mecanica Pesada S.A. in Taubaté-SP. He worked there for a year. From 19671 to 1974 Jose was a manager of the São Paulo office in Planave Escritorio Tecnico Planejamento.

In 1974 he became a technical manager in Cleplan Empreendimentos e Represent in São Paulo. He worked there for a year. In this year Jose became a project coordinator of Engevix-Estudos e Projetos Engenharia in São Paulo. He worked there until 1976. From 1976 to 1978 he was a technical manager in Fixoforja-Equipamentos in St. Luzia. In 1976 he was a technical director of JCF Engenharia Limitada SA in São Paulo. From 1978 to 1979 he worked as a technical manager in Fabrica Aço Paulista SA in Alphaville, Brazil.

Achievements

• Jose was the second lieutenant of the Brazilian military from 1958 to 1962.
