Career
He was appointed to the position twice: first as the 7th Alcalde (1842–1843) and again as the 12th Alcalde in 1846. In 1845, Noe was granted the land known as Rancho San Miguel, which covered the neighborhoods now known as Noe Valley, Eureka Valley, Fairmont Heights, Glen Park and Sunnyside. He was interred in the nave of Mission San Francisco de Asíson
