Career
Muñoz was originally elected in 2007 to fill the unexpired term of Silverio Vega following Vega's appointment to the New Jersey General Assembly. He was re-elected to a full three-year term in 2008, receiving 99.89% of the vote. Muñoz ran as a Republican for State Assembly in the 33rd District in 2003.
