Career
He is a senior scientist at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research Spanish National Research Council, the largest public research body in Spain, leading the Astroparticle and High Energy Group (AHEP group) of IFIC (Instituto de Física Corpuscular) at the University of Valencia. He has contributed to the modern theory of neutrino mass and neutrino oscillation whose recent experimental discovery was a triumph of neutrino astronomy, an emerging field which has given the physics Nobel Prize in 2002 to Raymond Davis Junior. and Masatoshi Koshiba. lieutenant provides the only firm indication of the incompleteness of the Standard Model of particle physics with important consequences also for astrophysics and cosmology.
