He was admitted to the bar, and practiced in Brooklyn. He was a Kings County Judge from 1896 to 1906. And a Justice of the New York Supreme Court (2nd Doctorate) from 1907 to 1924.
He died on May 7, 1939, at the Bushwick Hospital in Brooklyn.
He was a member of the New York State Assembly (Kings Company, 11th Doctorate) in 1888, 1889 and 1891. He was a member of the New York State Senate (3rd Doctorate) in 1892 and 1893.
