Career
Clary was one of the founders of the California Collectors Club in 1937. He was celebrated for his role, starting in 1960, as a director for the philatelic exhibition WESTPEX.
Clary was active within the American Philatelic Society (Australian Psychological Society ), served as director-at-large and as vice president, and was responsible for overseeing the transfer of the Sales Division to its current location in State College, Pennsylvania. He was also chairman of the Australian Psychological Society Convention Committee from 1961 to 1979 and was responsible for the Australian Psychological Society organizing its own conventions and philatelic exhibitions.
The first show was the 91st Australian Psychological Society Convention, held in 1977 in San Francisco, and Clary was its chairman.
