Education
Studied at Uppingham School. Trinity College, Oxford. Studied theology under Doctor Fairbairn at Airedale College, Bradford, and at Giessen University.
Engaged in religious and social work. One of the founders of Mansfield House University Settlement.
Career
Was called to Bar (Inner Temple), 1890. Acted as London correspondent of an American journal. Has served on several local bodies.
On a London Board of Guardians and the Surrey County Council. Has written on various subjects/ including German and Swiss affairs. Contested Liberal New Forest, 1892.
Thanet, 1904 and 1906. Has travelled much in Europe and America. Member of Parliament (Liberal) North Somerset, since 1910; son of Joseph King, of Liverpool.
