Ded. as public memorial the house in which Robert Ingersoll was born, 1954.

Instituted legal proceedings to stop reading of Bible in public schools of New York, to prevent dismissal of New York Public school children to receive religious instructor, to prevent use of Public school buses in New York State to transport children to parochial schools, to prevent formation of sectarian clubs in public educational institutions Founder, secretary Thomas Paine Foundation, Robert G.
