First edition. A fascinating look back at the use of mass media in the 1960's and 70's by Joe Napolitan, political manager who worked with John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Hubert Humphrey, as well as Milton Shapp and Mike Gravel. Mr. Napolitan makes it clear that the whole idea of "selling" candidates is a misnomer, for he believes that candidates who win re those whose personalities and approach to issues make for 'instant involvement" with viewers and listeners.
